Diana is a student-athlete at the University of Arizona. She is graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and has also been part of the Track and Field team at the U of A as a high jumper.
Diana is a dedicated, high-energy, and happy attitude type of girl. She is an international student from Venezuela who came to Tucson to pursue her undergraduate degree and later continue with her graduate studies, as well as to contribute as an athlete and as an individual in the community. She now feels Tucson is her second home. Having left her family and friends behind in her hometown, she believes her senior portraits are important memories she would like to share with her loved ones.
All her struggles, and her parents' sacrifices will pay off once they see her wearing the cap and gown and knowing she’s one step closer to her academic goals. Being away from home is not easy, especially as a Latina, because families tend to be very close-knit and many don’t leave their home until after graduation. Diana has found her new family here among her athlete friends, her roommates, and her fellow students at the School of Journalism.
